It hereby put on alert all well-meaning Nigerians and especially parents who have their wards in our great institution that pulling out of ASUU is in the best interest of the University at this time in her growth and development.

The lecturers had earlier threatened to pull out from the National body of ASUU if the leadership continues to ignore the over 250 members who passed a vote of no confidence on the executives of ASUU MOUAU branch led by Dr. Ugochukwu Onyebinama for indiscipline, high-handedness and misrepresentation among others.
Onyebinama was said to have misinformed the national executive council of ASUU on the state of affairs in MOUAU prompting the union to advice the local branch to petition to the President against the VC and the governing Council of the University which Onyebinama did without due consultation and knowledge of the members branch ASUU.
The lecturers said Onyebinama was only using his position as ASUU chairman to disrepute the VC Prof Edeoga for taking a disciplinary action against him when he was indicted by a panel that investigated his wrong-doings in the University.
